It's impossible to customize fonts in either the mobile or desktop apps. On top of that the mobile app doesn't cope with system-wide font zoom, and clips pixels off of text in text fields, etc. This makes your product a source of constant eye strain, pain, and discomfort. I hope the positive "impact on [your] first page load time" was worth it...

The app gets unusable after a couple of weeks and its data needs to be cleared for it to work again. It has a serious memory leak issue, probably related to all the data it sends to its sentry servers that cannot be disabled, which is completely baffling for an "open source" app.

the most important channel I monitor does not update with new unread messages. it will show in bold that there are unread messages, but the latest posts in the channel are from over a day ago. useless as a mobile app.

- Improved the Direct Message call experience to behave more like a native phone call.
- Added tappable tel: links for phone numbers in posts, which open the device calling app.
- Updated timezone data so mobile timestamps reflect 2026 changes in Alberta, Northwest Territories, Morocco, and Western Sahara.
