Snow Watch Face: Snowflake

Inspired by the engine-turned dials of fine mechanical watches, this snowflake watch face is engraved rather than printed. A six-armed silver snowflake radiates from the hand pivot, cut into a navy guilloché pattern of fine concentric waves.

Dial: deep navy guilloché with the engraved silver snowflake at its centre
Indices: twelve faceted gold batons around a fine minute track, no numerals
Hands: brushed gold hour and minute hands with faceted blades, plus a slim silver seconds needle balanced by a small snowflake counterweight
Palette: midnight navy, ice silver, champagne gold and slate grey

Only the hands move. The dial stays still and calm, with the finish of a dress watch rather than a winter wallpaper.

In always-on mode the guilloché dims to a faint shadow, the second hand is hidden and the gold hands remain clearly visible.
