It's a cute game. But like all games, it pushes you to buy boosters as you get to higher levels. And the boosters are ridiculously expensive. It's mostly like Candy Crush, in both the good ways and the bad ways. But after years of fighting with Candy Crush, I couldn't take it anymore. So I'm playing Cookie Jam, but at this point I often play one level, lose, and close the game. Why not let me watch an ad for an extra 5 moves?

I have played this game for years and have loved it. I just erased 2 wonderful reviews that I left previously. I am so disappointed in the way it has become nothing but a way to give us advertisements. In the past if you needed 5 extra moves you only had to watch 1 ad. Now to get extra moves you have to watch multiple ads. Most are double advertisements and you get fewer moves. To get max number of moves, you have to watch 6 or even 7 ads. it sucks. sometimes I get so annoyed, I quit playing.

The pre-2025 version was cool: I liked getting ingredients, then "baking" for permanent bonuses. I updated in '25; but, the game has lost that aspect and gives fewer moves! i DO get through levels more easily sometimes, when it auto-plays like crazy (trippy!)..and there's more ways to obtain (timed) bonuses, with Bingo and Races. And, after playing a few dozen more levels; I've decided that overall, I have MORE engagement now .. so my rating has returned to 5 stars: very fun!
