Only 500 characters? The Gaffer gets one thing very right: it's neither too easy nor too difficult to get your team promoted. Its key mechanism is a limited transfer market which only lets you view one player per day; it may take several days to find a decent player who fits your formation. That's pretty realistic for real life clubs (except Chelsea :)). It's also low on detail which I like: no wages, no player morale. You do have to manage fitness and approval. It's light-hearted and fun.

There's plenty I like about the game, not least the fact that ads are entirely optional, but the best word to describe the game is charmless. Even if you ignore that every line of text is blatantly written by AI, it still feels deeply impersonal. There's no way to affect things mid-game, there's nothing that gets you attached to any specific player, every interaction is spoonfed to the player rather than a choice... It feels like if I played 100 times, the gameplay would always be the same.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. Gameplay shouldn't be the same as there are many choices you make that shape your team and a variety of outcomes. Contact support if you have any additional questions.

Lots of good stuff going on. Keep up the good work. I don't like the total reset of approvals or medkits between seasons. It doesn't make much sense as you are trying to build a club up and support doesn't disappear every off season. I'd like to see more in-match interactions, maybe tactical tweaks or subs based on stats. Academy players are too expensive to add. Honestly, I'm still not sure how to build success with the high costs of new players.
