GUIDED MODE
A structured path from your first interval to advanced harmony. Guided Mode works through notes and reading, intervals, chords, scales, rhythm and harmony, unlocking each step once you have mastered the one before it. If you do not know where to start, start here.

BUILD YOUR OWN DRILLS
Every exercise is configurable — choose the intervals, chords, scales, keys, clefs, octaves, instruments and tempo you want to work on. Create custom chord and scale sets to target exactly the sounds you are struggling with, or to match what your teacher assigned this week.

BUILT FOR REAL PRACTICE
• High-quality piano and guitar samples, with staff notation on every screen
• Answer feedback that shows you what you actually heard, not just right or wrong
• Statistics and progress insights that show which intervals and chords need work
• Streaks, badges, stars and XP to keep daily practice going
• Challenges to test yourself against other players
• Works offline — no connection needed to practise

WHO IT IS FOR
Whether you are preparing for an aural exam or a conservatory audition, learning to play by ear, transcribing songs, improvising, arranging, producing, singing in a choir, teaching a class, or simply making music theory finally click, The Ear Gym gives you the drills and the structure to get there.

The Ear Gym helps you improve:
• Relative pitch, perfect pitch and interval hearing
• Chord, scale and mode recognition
• Melodic dictation and transcription

The app is just amazing. That's what we should actually start with in musical schools: hearing things. Just like with a human foreign language. Phonemes = intervals, words = chords. What I would really like to see in this app — more instruments! Think about distorted guitar for playing tritones/minor sixths! Oh, I can't wait to see it added.

Hi, I’m currently using your app, and it has helped me learn all the intervals. I’m also now able to play real songs by ear. I also really like your new Melodic Dictation feature. I can listen to the melody and play it on my guitar by ear. The fact that a bass line plays along with the melody is especially useful for fingerstyle guitar—it adds a whole new dimension to it. I have one problem and a question. I can figure out the correct answer by ear, but I don’t know how to write the answer in

Thank you — so glad intervals and Melodic Dictation are helping, especially with the bass line for fingerstyle! To enter an answer: set pitch with Up/Down (+ accidentals), then tap a rhythm button to place each note. On Polyphonic Dictation, switch Melody/Bass for each voice. Reopen the tutorial in exercise settings anytime. Happy to help with your

A Music School in Your Pocket! If you're a musician looking to sharpen your relative pitch or master music theory, The Ear Gym is easily one of the best tools out there. What’s truly impressive is how much depth you get for a completely free app. Why it’s a game-changer: Massive Variety: It covers everything from basic intervals and scales to complex 13th chords and harmony analysis. High-Quality Sound: It uses actual recorded piano and guitar sounds (4 octaves!), which makes a huge difference
