Linkbreaker is a match puzzle roguelike with RPG stats. Each turn you draw a chain across the board, release your finger, and the chain resolves. Every choice matters, because the board is the only resource you have.
The board is a grid of 6 by 6 or 7 by 7 tiles. A chain runs through touching tiles, side to side or diagonally, and every tile in it must be the same type. The longer the chain, the stronger its effect.
Each tile type does one thing:
- Coins add to your purse. Gold pays for upgrades in the shop between floors.
- Potions heal your hero. A longer chain heals more.
- Shields add armour. Armour absorbs enemy attacks until it is used up.
- Swords deal weapon damage. A chain that holds a sword can also reach enemy tiles, and each enemy in the chain takes that damage.
- Enemy tiles are monsters with hit points. Each one still alive at the end of your turn strikes back, so a monster you leave standing costs you health.
Every floor is a fight against a set of monsters. Clear them before your hero runs out of health. When a run ends, you start again from the first floor. Gold carries over to the shop for the next run.
Features:
- Chain puzzles on 6 by 6 or 7 by 7 boards
- Straight and diagonal chains
- Coins, potions, shields, swords and monsters on one board
- Roguelike floors with new layouts each run
- Shop upgrades bought with gold
Linkbreaker is built for players who plan several moves ahead and read the whole board before they draw.
Linkbreaker has no ads and no in-app purchases.
