Despite being a bit confusing to navigate and not really modern-looking, AnkiDroid is an INCREDIBLY good tool for writing and memorising flashcards. You get straight to the point, you see your statistics and how long you studied and it's easy to create flashcards and decks (there's also no ads or subscription, unlike some (Quizlet) other study apps). The only negatives are that you can't really study flashcards that the system thinks you've mastered, and some settings are really confusing.

We're getting more modern-looking! Settings -> New study screen. I'm working on a new 'Browse' screen, and working away at the code to eventually get the Deck Picker up to scratch (probably one for 2027 - we're all volunteers). Cheers for the rating! -- David

honestly it's the best app you can find to memorize and review vocab items. it's super difficult at first in terms of settings, creating cards and personalization, but when you get over all these, you discover flexible tool to make your learning easier. i've been using it for about 1,5 years now. one tip: make cards as easy as possible, cuz once one of the desks contains cards with 150% difficulty, you start skipping necessary daily reviews.

I've used this app for a few years now and it's been immensely helpful with memorizing whatever you can digitally write on a flashcards. I primarily use it for memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules in foreign languages but I could see it easily being used for anything you would want to memorize long term. Would recommend anyone studying to at least consider this as an option.
