About this app

There's one hourglass in the sauna, and someone keeps flipping it. Heat & Ice Tracker takes over: set a time for each sauna, ice bath and rest phase in advance, and when it's up, the watch vibrates on your wrist. Time to switch.

Use this tracker to track your sauna, ice bath and rest phases with target times and weekly goals. Want it customized? Feel free to contact us.

The watch cannot measure temperature, and this app never pretends it can: it times your phases, it does not know how hot the sauna or how cold the water is.

Features:
- Three modes: Sauna + Ice bath, Sauna only, Ice bath only (several dips)
- Target time per phase with a progress ring and a vibration at the target
- Between the phases the back button is pressed twice: the first press ends the phase, the second starts the next one once you are there, so the walk does not count as ice bath time. On many watches the back button is the lower side button; without a back button, hold the lower half of the screen for one second
- Switch time between phases is recorded separately and counts toward no target
- Or start the next phase directly: one press, no switch time
- Heart rate from the watch's sensor: now and highest in the current phase, colored by heart rate zone
- Rounds counted automatically
- Weekly heat and cold minutes against your own goals (preset to 57 and 11 minutes, both adjustable); the week counts only the sessions saved with this app on this watch, starting on Monday
- No tap ever starts or stops a session: hold the upper half of the screen for a second — or use a spare side button if your watch has one, so steam and wet fingers do not end your session by accident
- Summary after saving: sauna and ice bath time, rounds, highest heart rate, your week, and the times of every round, rest included
- History on the watch with your newest 100 sessions
- Average and maximum heart rate in the history
- Available in 28 languages

Settings on the watch: target time per phase, rest phase on/off, start next phase directly, weekly goals, vibration at the target, and your max heart rate for the zone colors.

How to use:
1. Choose the mode (a tap selects) and set the target times; the green arrow button (or the side button) goes on
2. Press the side button or hold the upper half of the screen to begin the session
3. The back button (or holding the lower half) ends the phase; walk over, then the same again starts the next phase
4. Swipe or turn the bezel or crown for the weekly page
5. Stop the same way you started; choose Continue, Save or Discard

Settings and History: the "⋯" at the bottom of the first screen.

A small companion app for the phone comes with it. It writes each saved session to Health Connect on your phone and does nothing else. Health Connect has no sauna type, so the session arrives there as a plain workout, titled with its minutes and rounds and with the round times in its notes. It is optional: the watch app works on its own, and neither app uses an internet connection. Your heart rate curve goes to Health Connect too.

Works on the watch alone: your sessions stay on this watch. No ads, no subscription, no account.
