Karnex Quick Assist lets a technician you trust help with your Android phone or tablet, the same way Karnex Quick Assist works on Windows and Linux computers.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Your technician gives you a 6-digit code.
2. Type it in the app. You see the name of the organization that will help before anything is shared.
3. Tap Share my screen and accept Android's own screen-sharing prompt.
4. Your technician sees your screen and can send you messages. You can reply in the app.
5. Tap Stop sharing (in the app or its notification) whenever you like. Helping you again takes a new code.
LET THEM TAP AND TYPE (OPTIONAL)
Karnex Quick Assist uses Android's AccessibilityService API for one optional feature: letting the technician you invited tap, swipe and type on your device for you while you share your screen. Before Android's accessibility settings open, the app asks you in a dialog (Agree or No thanks); nothing changes unless you tap Agree and turn it on yourself. It works only during a session you started, it does not collect, store or share what is on your screen or what you type, and you can turn it off again in Settings. Without it, your technician can still see your screen and send you messages.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your screen, the technician's taps and typing, and your messages are end-to-end encrypted between this device and the technician's Karnex Viewer. Karnex's servers pass them along but cannot read them, and nothing is recorded.
• Nothing happens without your code and your OK, and Android always shows when your screen is being shared.
• The app sends only what the technician needs to know which device it is: its name, model and Android version.
• No account, no ads, no tracking.
Only use a code from someone you trust: they will be able to see everything on your screen, including notifications, until you stop sharing.
