Completely priced out of what seems to be a really decent app. As someone with intermediate knowledge of the language, this small taster wasn't enough to know if it's for me, though first impressions are good. I respect the commitment to using real native speakers and the lack of the AI that ruined Duolingo. I still wish, for the price, that Ling at least felt as responsive as that app. I wish there were more pricing options (with ads?) for people like me. £15pm is just too out of my reach.

Edited July 13: I've used this app for 6 months, and it's been a positive experience. Units are well-structured. The speech lessons now let me retry correctly so I'm changing from 4 stars to 5! Early this year I twice lost month-long streaks after missing one day, even though I had two Streak Savers. All in all a good way to learn some Tagalog. I am in Manila at the moment and able to use some phrases and show that I've made an effort to learn! Maraming salamat Ling!

I hardly ever pay for apps like this but this one's pretty solid! only problem for me is the speaking sections don't work well for me. It either gives me 100% fluent or an infinite loading screen. The rest of the app is perfect in my opinion
