About this app

Get rid of Kinetosis (Motion sickness, or Travel sickness) - read or watch movies in your car or on the bus without feeling sick.

UPDATE: While Android users have been enjoying a motion sickness-free experience with this app for years since 2018, the same concept is just coming to Apple iOS with their Vehicle Motion Cues.

:point_right: To prevent the layout from freezing or disappearing, disable all system optimizations and allow the app to run in the background.
Visit https://dontkillmyapp.com/ for details and guides.

Kinetosis typically occurs when traveling in vehicles. It is caused by conflicting motion signals from your inner ear and eyes. This triggers an ancient toxic defense mechanism in our brain that causes dizziness, fatigue, and nausea.

KineStop gets you back on track. It synchronizes your inner ear with your eyes by simulating a horizon on your or your children's mobile devices so you can read or watch movies without distraction.

It takes a few minutes before it helps with ongoing kinetosis. But it works without the need for medication, which can have various side effects such as drowsiness.

KineStop draws the artificial horizon on any screen so you can continue to use your favorite movie player or e-book reader.

Accessibility Service

In order to draw motion cues on the entire screen, including bars, notifications, and the lock screen, the app may ask for enabling KineStop Accessibility Service. The app uses this service only to improve the usability of the app and the anti-motion sickness effect and does not collect, store, or share any personal information.
Goodbye travel sickness, read in the car and feel good with vehicle motion cues

This app has helped me contain my travel sickness to a great extent. I can comfortably look at my phone for navigation, light reading, etc. The fact that it has no ads, is the icing on the cake. Kudos to the team for that. My request is to try and integrate this to system apps as well. I don't know if it is a security feature of android but when in apps like settings, kinestop stops working.

would be nice to have a setting for dots only (no horizon). also the dots are kind of too fast and I think my brain ignores them... would be nice to have a sensitivity adjustment.

Hello, the horizon has been tested to be much more effective for fighting car sickness than just dots, which is why we use it as our default theme. For more details, please contact support@urbandroid.org. Thank you.
