RigBee: D-STAR & Radio Control

RigBee turns your phone or tablet into a D-STAR gateway and remote control for your Icom D-STAR radio. No hotspot, no DV dongle: your radio connects over Bluetooth or a USB cable, and RigBee carries your D-STAR traffic to reflectors over the internet.

IMPORTANT: RigBee needs a supported Icom D-STAR radio (see WHAT YOU NEED below). It does not play broadcast or internet radio stations.

D-STAR GATEWAY
■ Link XLX / DCS, DExtra (XRF) and DPlus (REF) reflectors - no hotspot needed
■ Talk and listen with your own radio; RigBee relays the audio to and from the reflector
■ See who is talking: callsign, message, position on a map, distance and bearing
■ Active reflectors, favourites with alerts, Last Heard, saved receptions and statistics
■ Link announcements spoken in your language

CHAT, PICTURES AND QSL CARDS
■ Text chat, stickers and Morse messages - over a reflector or directly on the air in DV
■ Send and receive pictures, including Icom Picture Share pictures over reflectors
■ Turn a station you heard into a QSL card and share it

RADIO CONTROL
■ Frequency, mode, volume, squelch, power, dual watch, tones and more
■ Memory channels: read the radio's memory or import CSV lists (CS-52, CHIRP); range scanner
■ DR mode with the repeater list, repeaters near you, maps and last heard

APRS AND AWARDS
■ Report your radio's GPS position to APRS-IS (shown on aprs.fi) when you transmit
■ Countries, continents and grid squares heard and worked, with milestone badges

FREE AND RIGBEE PRO
The app is free: radio control, the radio's own MR mode and scan, CSV channel import, DR, Last Heard and maps, receiving messages and pictures, and listening to reflectors while RigBee is open.
A one-time RigBee Pro purchase (no subscription) adds talking on reflectors, background listening, chat and pictures, QSL cards, the APRS beacon, reading the radio's memory and the range scanner.

- An internet connection for reflectors, maps and APRS
- An amateur radio licence and callsign to transmit
- For reflectors, RigBee uses the radio's Terminal Mode - it detects it and switches screens for you
