This dial paints two culms rising up the left of a sheet of creased washi paper, their leaves reaching across the open paper, inside a thin gold rim. Twelve applied gold batons mark the hours, set exactly on the hour, with sixty fine ink minute marks around them.

🍃 A LEAF FALLS
Every eighteen seconds a single sumi bamboo leaf falls from the canopy and drifts down the dial, turning as it goes. It can be switched off.

🎋 HANDS CAST AS BAMBOO
The hands are cast in the shape of bamboo culms, nodes and all, in four metals: Aged brass, Blackened iron, Smoked silver, Shakudo. The seconds hand carries a small ring at its tail, and can be switched off.

📜 FOUR PAPERS
The washi comes in four tones: Kinari (unbleached), Shiro (bleached white), Sakura (blush), Fuji (wisteria grey). The ink and the gold stay as they are on every paper.
