Chun-Li and E. Honda, round after round, on your wrist.
This animated watch face is a full bout from the 1991 arcade classic Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, fought in Honda's Japanese bathhouse, under the great mural of Mount Fuji and the rising sun. Every 20 seconds the two square up on the tiled floor and fight it out with the moves you remember:
• Chun-Li's Kikoken, and Honda blocks it
• Honda's Flying Headbutt shoots across the floor and catches her
• Chun-Li's Lightning Legs pound Honda's guard
• Honda's Hundred Hand Slap into Chun-Li's guard
• Her second Kikoken finds its mark
• Chun-Li flips in with a flying kick to his head
• Her Spinning Bird Kick catches Honda twice, and he goes down for the KO
• Chun-Li celebrates her win, arms in the air
Every frame is the game's own sprite animation, with hit sparks, block sparks and the Kikoken.
The HUD is the game's, redrawn in crisp pixel lettering:
• The clock on top, in the round timer's big figures, following your 12/24-hour setting
• Chun-Li's health bar is your battery
• Honda's health bar is the steps left to your goal, and it empties as you walk
• KO flashes in the middle once you reach your step goal
• CHUN LI and HONDA under the bars, then the date and today's steps
The fight follows the clock, so wherever you look the bout is exactly where the time says it should be.
In always-on mode the fight goes dark and only a dim clock stays lit, gently shifting position to protect your screen.
