About this audiobook

After losing her job, Lucie Brown returns to her home village of Winterbourne, only to discover that everything she ran away from a decade ago is still waiting there for her. Hoping for a distraction while she figures out where she is heading next, she takes a Christmas job as an elf at nearby Winterbourne Hall.

Frances Delaney, the CEO of The Winterbourne Hall Trust and granddaughter of the late owner, the Marquess of Brackley, is under pressure to deliver a flawless festive season while trying to care for her mother. An interfering Christmas elf is the last complication she needs, and yet she may be the only person who can help.

As Lucie is drawn into Frances's world, what begins as a temporary escape sparks a connection they both struggle to ignore. But with responsibilities and ambitions pulling them in different directions, will their moment fade away with the snow, or will they discover that some endings are really just beginnings?

The bestselling and award-winning author of the South Downs Romance series and the Nunswick Abbey series returns with an enchanting festive sapphic romance set on a picturesque Elizabethan estate, where losing your footing could mean losing your heart.

Actress Lucie returns home and works as a Christmas elf at a manor house. She clashes with Frances, the overburdened CEO of the manor house trust. A connection grows—but will their conflicting goals take them in different directions? Lucie and Frances are both going through important life transitions, and the way they support each other creates a strong bond. The conflicts put in their way are poignant and relatable. The audiobook narration was well done. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.
