The Boss

Toronto, 1983

Richard Calloway is the ruthless CEO of the formidable Calloway Investments. Respected, feared, and accustomed to controlling everything within his reach, he has built his life on discipline, ambition, and secrets that must never see the light of day.

Daniel Whitmore is everything Richard is not. Young, idealistic, and freshly minted from law school, he still believes in ethics, in justice — in a world where principles mean something.

When Daniel joins the firm, a collision between them was never a question of if, only when.

Heated arguments give way to pointed provocations. Provocations give way to dangerous glances. And what begins as conflict slowly becomes something neither man can afford to ignore.

But in a decade defined by prejudice and unyielding social expectation, a relationship between two men — between a boss and his employee, no less — has the power to shatter reputations, careers, and lives.

Caught between the power plays of the corporate world, secrets with sharp edges, and feelings neither of them is equipped to face, Richard and Daniel will have to decide just how far they are willing to go.

Because some love stories were never meant to be simple.

And some passions have the power to change everything — even when time is working against you.
