The Assassin's Skill

An assassin possesses no greater skill than outsmarting one’s enemies.

The Holy Knights of Warding stand above all other threats, their influence reaching far beyond their honorable façade. Deeply entrenched in Alchester’s halls of power, these stoic fanatics have created a web of alliances that even the infamous Assassin Without a Name cannot untangle alone.

Meanwhile, the Jakaree death priests are on the verge of accomplishing their ultimate goal of freeing the Dark One from his ancient prison. With the Unifying Convergence approaching, the barrier between worlds grows thinner, and the priests’ fanatical devotion has never burned brighter. If they succeed, eternal darkness will consume the world.

Thieves, scientists, and King’s officers—once the most implausible of collaborators—must unite against both threats before the Unifying Convergence tears their world apart. Yet desperation makes for dangerous alliances, and dismantling the Warder Primus’s plans while preventing the Dark One’s return may prove an impossible balancing act. With Alchester’s fate hanging in the balance, the stakes have never been higher.

When treachery and ancient secrets lurk around every corner, only the skill of the Nameless Assassin can navigate the perilous game of power threatening to consume them all.
