I feel the narrator makes the book sound dull. even the action scenes are narrated in such a montone that basically just makes you want to turn off the audiobook and open the real book. I'll be buying the next audiobook nonetheless bc I like listening to the "boring parts" and/or when I don't have the boom physically. anyhoo, many times the narrator adds the the story, here he takes away "passion and action" from an awesome book. i''m sure he's a good narrator, but he wasn't the guy for this among book imo.

Taken as a single book, this is amazing. As a trilogy, it is truly epic. The sheer amount of thought that has been put into the lore of this universe he creates is staggering. First he scatters pieces and then slowly, perfectly, weaves togerher the in between parts for a hundred small "Oh, that makes perfect sense, why didn't I guess that?" moments. Beyond the lore, the characters were compelling and the story gritty and real. He balances the right amount of description with action. Outstanding.
