About this audiobook

Once a devoted father to his three-year-old son Matthew, David Burroughs lived an idyllic life just a short drive from the working-class suburb where he and his wife, Cheryl, first fell in love. Everything changed one night when David woke up suddenly to find that Matthew had been murdered while he was sleeping just down the hall. Five years later, David has been falsely accused and convicted of the crime, serving time in a maximum-security prison. Grieving and overwhelmed with guilt, he didn’t have the strength to fight back. The world moved on without him. Then, during visiting hours, Cheryl’s younger sister, Rachel, unexpectedly shows up with a strange photograph. It’s a vacation picture of a busy amusement park shared by a friend, and in the background, faintly in the frame, is a boy who bears an uncanny resemblance to David’s son. Despite doubts, David is convinced: Matthew is still alive. Determined to find the truth, David plans a risky escape to save his son, clear his name, and uncover what really happened. With his life in danger and the FBI tracking him, can David evade capture long enough to reveal the shocking truth??
