Restless Waters

Drowned secrets always surface...

When Emma is forced to return to stay with family in her childhood home on the remote Cumbrian island of Latholme, she tells herself the ghosts of her past are long gone. But it seems the trauma she left behind is waiting to haunt her still.

Stranded on the small island with her volatile family, her ambitious brother's dangerous work and a mysterious set of guests and staff, Emma’s foreboding that not all of them will make it off the island is proved true when a body is found at the foot of the old watchtower.

As Detective Sergeant Sara Hammond arrives to dig beneath the surface of a family shaped by violence, betrayal and ruthless survival, she finds that Latholme's dark history runs deeper than anyone suspected – and that its secrets aren’t buried with the dead.
