My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me.
  1. I’m in a coma
  2. My husband doesn’t love me any more
  3. Sometimes I lie

Unnerving, twisted and utterly compelling, you won’t be able to put this thriller down. Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden.

Lots of misdirection and a delicious twist that slapped me right in the face BUT this story includes a huge amount of triggers (see below); be careful if you're feeling vulnerable. #ReadingChallenge #50BooksIn2026 Triggers: mental illness, physical and sexual abuse, substance abuse, trauma, and pregnancy issues.

This book is a psychological thriller that follows Amber Reynolds, an unhappy radio presenter who wakes up in a coma in a hospital after a mysterious car crash. It took a lot of energy to read this one because of its heavy, sinister atmosphere. Best to read it when you're in a clear state of mind, because you'll need it to comprehend what is happening in the book. It was dark, twisty, wicked.

I think it was a good plot i did enjoy reading this book. It didn't really give me the chilling thrill i was looking for, which is a shame because it's a twisted story. The plot twist was not written well and I felt like I had missed something, was confusing and it really didn't need to be. If that part was better written it would of had the wow factor of a twist. I think it's a good story but just didn't pack the punch ot could have.
