They lost. And somehow, I’m the one stuck cleaning up the mess.
I’ve spent my life in the human world, keeping my head down and pretending I’m nothing like the rest of the evil Lovells. No magic. No trouble. No reason for anyone in the magical community to remember I exist.
It was working… right up until I found the grimoire.
Turns out my family didn’t just start wars—they collected power. Specifically, by binding dangerous magical beings and trapping them inside a cursed book so they could use them whenever they felt like it.
Now the grimoire is in my hands.
And the beings inside it are waking up.
They’re powerful. They’re angry. And they have every reason to hate me.
Unfortunately, walking away isn’t an option. Not with an annoyingly persistent ghost hanging around reminding me that doing the right thing is, apparently, still my problem.
Of course I’m going to free them, one by one. Even if it’s a terrible idea that will probably get me killed. Because I’m a hopeless bleeding heart. And because the more time I spend with them, the more I realize they’re not the monsters my family made them out to be.
And what’s even more convenient? The realization that I’m not as harmless—or as uninvolved—as I’ve spent my entire life pretending to be.
Now I’m tangled up with a group of powerful, unpredictable beings who could destroy me as easily as protect me… and the line between enemy, ally, and something a whole lot more complicated is getting harder to ignore.
The magical world already thinks I’m dangerous.
They might not be wrong. And it’s probably about to get a whole lot worse…
A Cursed Legacy is a paranormal romance featuring a snarky witch, powerful magical allies, and a growing why-choose relationship. Expect found family, dangerous magic, emotional healing, and just enough bad decisions to keep things interesting.
Do you like romance stories with a bit more variety? I write outside the box, inclusive, trope-smashing, paranormal romance, usually involving poly relationships (because #whychoose) and with actual character development. Most also include LGBTQIA+ elements. And snark. I live in Michigan with a houseful of demonic furballs and am still waiting for my own personal call to adventure or fae abduction. (The hot kind of fae, not the dance ‘til you die sort).
