He details the basics of immunology, quantifying the immune response through assays, modeling humoral immune and cell-mediated responses, control of immune response, and the perspective of the virus. Much of the math material is presented in the "classical" format of population dynamics of a well-mixed population, with some discussion of small and/or discrete populations.
