About this ebook

The helpless hold all the secrets.

Two masked assailants burst into a ward in the QE Hospital in Barnstaple. While a nurse is held at gunpoint, a patient is shot three times as he lies helpless after a stroke. The attackers vanish as quickly as they arrived. Witnesses are in deep shock.

DI Jan Talantire is called in to a crime that is immediately baffling. The victim is unknown, found unresponsive in a nightclub, with no ID. As Talantire’s detective team digs for clues, they discovers the hospital is a hive of criminal activity. Feuding staff, financial problems and, at its heart, a deadly secret. Can she solve the case before the shooters have a chance to strike again?

A dark, page-turning crime thriller from the million-copy bestseller. Perfect for fans of Kate Ellis, Sally Rigby and Elly Griffiths.
