Never did Falyn Isley think she would be here, back in her hometown, bruised by betrayal and infidelity. With her seven years of marriage ending, she is ready to start a new life purchasing Prairie Charm Bed and Breakfast on the edge of Primrose. As a Chef and well versed in the restaurant business she is ready to step into her independence, not needing anyone but herself to complete her life.
As the proud owner of the popular bar, the Pickled Pig, Sylvio Conti seemed to have it all. A thriving business and the respect of the community of St. Augustine. However, behind closed doors he was plagued by his haunting past and decade’s worth of unanswered questions he had never been able to move on from.
When Falyn is persuaded to join in on her brother’s birthday celebration at the local hot spot, she comes face to face with the tattooed and broody silver fox behind the bar. A man two decades her senior and with whom she shares an instant and intense attraction.
As these two navigate their connection and they begin to fall for each other, questions come to light about Sylvio's past and Falyn’s past betrayal causes her to overthink and question his intentions. Is it possible for love to bloom amongst the rubble of betrayal and the fostering of secrets or will the haunts of the past keep them apart?
Through intricate storytelling, Tanya Renee brings Prairie Charm, a modern age gap love story to life on the page. Navigating the journey of two broken souls who want nothing more than to reconcile their past so they can look towards their future.
