About this ebook

Isolde is a warrior haunted by vengeance. When she senses a dark corruption seeping into the lifeblood of Valhaven, she sets out to hunt those responsible.

But she’s not the only one who sees the signs. Aidan, a druid scarred by past battles against the monstrous demon Lysander, recognises the threat for what it is. And Jen, a brilliant but reckless hacker, stumbles onto a digital trail leading straight into the heart of the city’s growing nightmare.

Their paths collide in a tangle of myth, magic, and conspiracy—because something far older and far more dangerous than they imagined is stirring. A goddess is bound in chains, and the darkness feeding on Valhaven is only the beginning.

To break the cycle and stop the city’s fall, they must unravel the mystery of the Three Faces of Fate. If they don’t, the forces of oblivion will swallow them whole.

Their fight for survival has only just begun.

Thanks to the author and booksprout for the ARC, this is my voluntary and unbiased review. Loved the book, it's a good substantial read that much as I wanted to keep reading I did occasionally have to sleep and eat! Lots of action, a varied and complex cast of characters, a lovely mix of contemporary, mythical and historical influences. I definitely recommend reading this and look forward to the rest of the trilogy.

What a great story! Honestly, I was not expecting to love this story as much as I have. I’ve done the whole superhero stuff, but this one is totally different. Not exactly superheroes. We have a druid who has forgotten his powers, a man who can only become a demon after the sun sets, there’s a woman who becomes the “Guardian of the Night” when she dons a suit of armor and a computer whiz. There is nonstop action, superb writing and one fantastic plot.

This book is a great blend of action with several different mythologies thrown - Celtic Irish/Ancient Geek/Judeo-Christian. Parry manages to draw these separate backgrounds together into a coherent storyline that I found very entertaining. The book features several of my favourite elements in writing (Urban Magic; Druids; the Fae; Explosions), all blended together in an interesting storyline, written multiple perspectives. Great book; looking forward to the next one.
