Strong pacing, decent tension, and a good mix of character dynamics with a hint of the supernatural. It holds together well until the ending, which leans too far into implausibility. A couple of characters veer into caricature territory — one especially feels like a recycled trope. Worth reading if you’re after something atmospheric which will keep you guessing but the payoff doesn’t quite match the setup.

Must Read The Only One Left is an incredibly addictive suspense thriller that keeps you hooked from start to finish. I simply couldn’t put the book down. My mind kept forming new theories about what was really happening, but every time I thought I had figured it out, I was wrong. The suspense, twists, and secrets keep you guessing until the very end—and the final climax is something I genuinely couldn’t have predicted. A brilliant page-turner!
