I never thought I’d be pulled back into the chaos—not after five years of peace, not after I built a quiet life as a university teacher. But Queen Rebekah has other plans. She calls on me, the Avant Champion, to intervene in the giants’ civil war and return a captured leader to his people.
I don’t go alone. My husband and healer, Joshua Colt, joins me, along with Lieutenant Coco DeFay and my trusted friend and monk Baird Fox. Together, we set off through the treacherous southern marsh, armed with a plan.
But nothing is ever simple. Danger lurks in the shadows, and betrayal waits around every turn.
What started as a rescue mission spirals into a fight for survival. And as I cut through a web of destruction and deceit, I realize the stakes are far greater than my honor as the Avant Champion.
If I fail, I won’t just lose my mission—I’ll lose everything.
This exciting sequel to the 2nd place EVVY award-winning epic fantasy adventure, The Avant Champion: Rising, will thrill readers with new adventure, new characters, and new challenges.
