Om denne e-bog
Complete and unabridged, with 56 full-page plates by Marianne North, John Martin and J. M. W. Turner. A dinner-party inventor argues that time is a fourth dimension, disappears in his machine, and returns starving with an account of the year 802,701, where humanity has split into the delicate Eloi above ground and something else below. Fifty-six plates of nineteenth-century painting, from Samuel Palmer's visionary landscapes to Adolph von Menzel's studies of clouds and volcanoes, give the deep past and the far future their weather.
