Complete and unabridged, with 56 full-page plates by Marianne North, John Martin and J. M. W. Turner. Fifty-six plates of nineteenth-century painting, from Samuel Palmer's visionary landscapes to Adolph von Menzel's studies of clouds and volcanoes, give the deep past and the far future their weather.
