⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best technical blockchain book written. Karsten writes like a good engineer thinks — precise and honest about what broke and why. Chapter 1 reframes the trilemma debate before you even reach the architecture. Tower BFT explained more clearly than most academic papers on PBFT. The intellectual honesty is what sets it apart. Real TPS vs theoretical, validator hardware tradeoffs, the outages — all addressed head-on. If you build on Solana, read this.

Mathew is clearly an expert in Solana. This not only describes the experiences of building within an ecosystem but also how to attribute talent and technology together to grow the ecosystem so that there will be an actual consensus over the technologies that gain real adoption.
