Tango Victor: A Cold-Case Sci-fi Whodunnit

Peace Force Sergeant Dave Birch has a problem. He bought a fixer-upper on a sleepy retirement world, but while renovating the laundry, he uncovers something disturbing beneath the floor.

Calling in forensics isn't an option. Dave financed the purchase through a volatile local crime boss, and an official investigation will cost him the property, his life savings, and quite possibly his kneecaps.

Desperate, he enlists rookie trainee Harriet Walsh for a strictly off-the-books investigation. But hiding anything from Bernie—their seven-foot, ex-combat robot superior—proves impossible.

When Harriet's forged ID triggers a planet-wide security alert, Bernie declares a state of emergency and orders Harriet to hunt down the newly discovered "terrorist mastermind"—an elusive phantom named Cindy Speckles.

Juggling a cold case, an obsessive stalker, and an accidental manhunt, Harriet has to solve the mystery before Bernie figures out who's really running the show.
