'I was glued to my Kindle at 3.30am.... My heart almost exploded... A gripping read from start to finish... I haven’t been gripped so much by a book since S.J. Watson’s “Before I go to Sleep” and Gillian Flynn’s “Gone Girl”.... An absolute MUST READ' ***** 5 star reader review

KEEPING THIS SECRET WAS KILLING HER...

Sue Jackson has the perfect family. But when her teenage daughter Charlotte deliberately steps in front of a bus and ends up in a coma, she is forced to face a very dark reality.

Retracing her daughter’s steps, she finds a horrifying entry in Charlotte’s diary and is forced to head deep into her daughter's private world. In her hunt for evidence, Sue begins to mistrust everyone close to Charlotte, but is soon forced to look further – even into the depths of her own past.

Sue will do anything to protect her daughter. But what if she is the reason that Charlotte is in danger?

A gripping psychological thriller about the deadly secrets your children can keep, perfect for fans of M. W. Craven, Lisa Jewell, and Clare Mackintosh.

The first 2/3 had me totally gripped & excited about the idea of this storyline. The last 1/3 dragged on a bit for me but I was still gripped feeling a massive twist had to be coming. But for me the ending was disappointing. It's still a great read so don't be put off. Maybe I was just expecting more after reading other reviews!?

Hated it. It reminded me of a really cheap drama on some cheap sky channel. The style of writing was to keep the high octane pace of the book continually turning over, which just makes the reader feel exhausted. The central character was also neurotic and irritating, continually doing things to appear unhinged to the outside world.

For some reason I couldn't gel with the main character, Susan. An OK read but no real surprises. Definitely not a "couldn't put down" kind of book.
