3.75 Stars This is a story of choosing a path and trying to stick to it, even when there are indications that it is not the right one. Colin knew he wanted to be a priest since he was a child, yet his time around Samantha brings out feelings and desires that he has never had. It causes confusion and feelings of betrayal. Samantha is a woman with little faith. Her past has stepped her off it. It had also caused a deep seated fear.... fear of loving another. Odd that these two should fall in love, but they see each other. Colin feels like more than the son/ brother who will be a priest. She sees him as a person, as a man. This book is filled with angst and some heat. There are sub conflicts that arise with other members of the family that are not addressed. Looks like the author set them up for future books of this series.
