Ken and Sagat, round after round, on your wrist.
This animated watch face is a full bout from the 1991 arcade classic Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, fought in Thailand before the great reclining Buddha. Every 20 seconds Ken takes on the Emperor of Muay Thai with the moves you remember:
• Sagat fires a Tiger Shot, and Ken blocks it
• Ken answers with a Hadoken, into Sagat's guard
• Sagat's Tiger Knee flies in and catches Ken
• Ken's roundhouse kick hits Sagat's guard
• Sagat's low Tiger Shot, and Ken flips over it into a jumping kick
• Ken's sweep takes Sagat's legs
• Sagat's Tiger Uppercut is blocked, and as he comes down Ken's Shoryuken sends him to the floor for the KO
• Ken celebrates his win, fist in the air
Every frame is the arcade's own sprite animation, with hit sparks, block sparks, Tiger Shots and the Hadoken.
The HUD is the game's, redrawn in crisp pixel lettering:
• The clock on top, in the round timer's big figures, following your 12/24-hour setting
• Ken's health bar is your battery
• Sagat's health bar is the steps left to your goal, and it empties as you walk
• KO flashes in the middle once you reach your step goal
• KEN and SAGAT under the bars, then the date and today's steps
The fight follows the clock, so wherever you look the bout is exactly where the time says it should be.
In always-on mode the fight goes dark and only a dim clock stays lit, gently shifting position to protect your screen.
